TotalEnergies Marketing South Africa is dedicated to youth development through a variety of programs, including internships, learnerships, apprenticeships, and bursaries. These initiatives aim to harness and equip young South African graduates with the skills to prepare them for successful careers.
Our Internship Programme offer graduates hands-on corporate knowledge and experience in the fields of Finance, Internal Auditing, Economics, Law & Corporate Governance, Human Resources, Engineering, Operations, Logistics /Supply Chain/Transport Management, Health & Safety, Marketing/Communications & Public Relations, and Commercial Sales.
The graduates receive exposure to the operational excellence of the company, and they are prepared and monitored by highly skilled managers who prepare them for the real world of work in corporate South Africa.
The internship programme runs for a fixed duration of 12 months.

Requirements to apply for an Internship Programme
- Must be a South African Citizen
- Must have completed a National Senior Certificate.
- Must have completed a National Diploma/BTech/Degree/Honors Degree.
- Qualified Graduates who are beneficiaries of the TotalEnergies Marketing South Africa bursary scheme
- Qualified students who have excelled academically and require working experience to improve their chances of employability.
As a responsible corporate citizen, we offer learnership programme opportunities for unemployed matriculants who have passed mathematics and physical science (65% and above). The programme is structured to enable the learners to experience classroom and practical on-the-job training.
Learners who successfully complete the programme are awarded with a Further Education and Training Certificate, which is registered with the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA) and accredited by Chemical Industries Education & Training Authority (CHIETA).
Our learnership Programmes for the unemployed youth of South Africa run on a 12-month tri-party agreement between the learner, TMSA and a third-party facilitating company. TMSA offers the following unemployed learnerships:
- Logistics and Supply Chain Learnership for unemployed learners.
- Business Administration Learnership for unemployed learners living with disabilities.
Requirements to apply for the Learnership Programme
- Must be a South African Citizen.
- Must have completed a National Senior Certificate.
TMSA offers technical training that incorporates both the theoretical and practical components offered in designated trades to achieve an Artisan status.
Requirements to qualify for an Apprenticeship programme:
An apprenticeship is an employment programme in which training is offered as follows:
- An apprentice who has completed Nated courses (N1-N6).
- Enter into a four-year (4) contract with a company to learn the skills of the trade.
- You undertake theoretical and practical training at an accredited training provider according to a prescribed curriculum.
- You undertake workplace experience under full supervision of a qualified Artisan.
- You undergo a trade Test at an accredited decentralized training provider at the end of your 4-year period to qualify as an Artisan.
TMSA is committed to and dedicated to empowering the youth of South Africa with Financial Aid through a bursary programme. The bursary programme offers opportunities to previously disadvantaged youth to pursue their career of choice whether in Engineering, Finance, Law, Social Sciences, and other streams of professions that TMSA requires from its workforce.
Requirements to apply for a bursary programme:
- Must be a South African Citizen.
- Must have completed a National Senior Certificate.
- Must be registered or be in possession of an acceptance letter from a university or University of Technology.
The bursary covers the following:
- Tuition Fees (including books and special equipment)
- Accommodation Fees
- Stipends
- Limited private tutorials
