Our Internship Programme offer graduates hands-on corporate knowledge and experience in the fields of finance, human resources, engineering, operations etc. to prepare them for their chosen career in the working world.
As an extension to our internship Programme, TotalEnergies South Africa is offering five South African graduates an experience to work in our global environment in both Africa and Paris for a period of (1) one year to gain international exposure in their chosen field.

Learnerships
TOUCHING THE LIVES OF OTHERS THROUGH BRIDGING THE SKILLS GAP
As a responsible corporate citizen, we offer learnership programme opportunities for unemployed matriculants who have passed mathematics and physical science (65% and above). The programme is structured to enable the learners to experience classroom and practical on-the-job training.
Learners who successfully complete the programme are awarded with a Further Education and Training Certificate, which is registered with the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA) on a NQF Level 2 (recognised nationally by chemical industries) and accredited by Chemical Industries Education & Training Authority (CHIETA).
Road shows are conducted throughout the country to identify exceptional talent.
TotalEnergies Marketing South Africa celebrates Top Employer certification for the 3rd year running

TotalEnergies Marketing South Africa (TMSA) has been recognised as one of the Top Employers for 2025 for the third year running. This recognition highlights TMSA's commitment to fostering an outstanding work environment and implementing exceptional HR practices.
The Top Employers Institute programme certifies organisations based on their participation and HR Best Practices Survey results. This comprehensive survey covers six HR domains and consists of 20 topics, including people strategy, work environment, talent acquisition, learning, diversity and inclusion, well-being, and more.
TMSA was recognised for several outstanding HR practices that contributed to our Top Employer certification. These include:
- People strategy: TMSA's commitment to a strategic approach in managing and developing their workforce
- Talent acquisition: Effective recruitment processes that attract and retain top talent
- Diversity, equity and inclusion: Initiatives that promote a diverse and inclusive workplace
- Wellbeing: Programs and policies that support the physical and mental well-being of employees
- Career development: Opportunities for skill development and career advancement, including a mobility program that allows employees to explore new roles within the company.

"We achieved an overall score increase from 2024 when benchmarking against other companies and/or industries including Steer, Shape, Attract, Develop, Engage, and Unite. Our scores in almost all the categories have improved, but I'm particularly proud of the domains in which we have excelled Develop and Shape. This is a testament to the investment we have put in developing our people," says TMSA human resources general manager, Phumzile Mohlakoana.

They apply for any position available if they are interested, this allows them to explore different areas of the company.
- Twice: Is aimed at mentoring women in their respective careers, personal lives and professional networks.
- Flexible working hours: TotalEnergies has flexible working hours which allows employees to fully explore work-life integration.
- Capital shares: An act that serves as our commitment to the importance of sharing value. All permanent employees are eligible to purchase company shares at a discounted rate.
- Employees profit scheme: All employees who have been employed by TMSA for three years or more become beneficiaries of the scheme.
- Action programme: We believe in working together with society and this is why we allow our employees to take at least three official working days and perform any CSI work of their choice.
