TotalEnergies Namibia opened its doors in 1977 in the then-South West Africa. Later the Company was registered in 1988 as TotalEnergies South West Africa/Namibia (Pty) Ltd and in 1989, changed to TotalEnergies Namibia (Pty) Ltd.
The TotalEnergies Namibia network grew to 37 service stations in 2020 with several new projects underway. Two main depots supply TotalEnergies Namibia, which are in Windhoek and Walvis Bay. Furthermore, TotalEnergies Namibia has throughput agreements with other oil companies in Ondangwa and Tsumeb.
TotalEnergies Namibia is the 4th largest distributor/marketer in the country.
Within the business environment TotalEnergies Namibia is supplying individual vehicle owners, small business enterprises, agricultural sectors and has a significant share in the mining sector, supplying all Hydrocarbons to companies such as B2Gold Namibia as well as Rio Tinto’s Rossing Uranium Mine.
TotalEnergies Namibia takes pride in employing Namibian citizens and has a headcount of 33 Namibian permanent employees.

Social Responsibility and Sponsorships
TotalEnergies Namibia sponsors the Namibian Chamber of Environment (NCE), an association tasked to spread the message of protecting the Namibian environment and wildlife through nature conservations and community education/awareness programs. TotalEnergies Namibia is a founding member of NCE along with B2Gold Mining.
TotalEnergies Namibia also provides annual financial support to the “Namibia Mathematics and Science Laboratory Project” to improve science education in disadvantaged and marginalised communities. TotalEnergies Namibia covers all fuel expenses for the mobile science laboratory, so that science subject can reach rural schools and communities.
TotalEnergiesNamibia also supports various road safety campaigns. TotalEnergies Namibia is a proud supporter of the TotalEnergies Professors Association (TPA) and in association with University of Namibia (UNAM) and Namibia University of Science and Technology (NUST) sponsors the TPA professors to Namibia on a yearly basis to lecture students on various subjects related to the oil industry.
